From ages 7-11 this book tells of a mysterious Pokemon called Celebi. One day the Pokemon vanishes. Pokemon - The Johto Journeys - Azalea Adventures (Vol. 47) When Ash and his friends are chansed into a cave by a giant Meowth robot, they come across a wild Cyndaquil! But Ash isn’t the only trainer trying to catch it! Then, our heroes finally make it to Azalea Town, but before they can win a badge at the gym, they have to save the Slowpoke in the Slowpoke Well and end a drought! Plus, Poke Ball-maker Kurt offers to make speciality Poke Balls for Ash, Misty and Brock, but only if they go into the forest, brave its Pokemon, and pick the apricorns for themselves! Customer Review: The king of Kids’ WB! Let’s find that treasure! Even though Nintendo Power is no longer selling the Pokemon comics anymore, I will be adoring this video just like all of you told me. They contain the following:
Good ‘Quil Hunting: Featuring the new fire-type porcupine Cynaquil, and our hero tries to catch it but there is also another trainer trying to do the same thing. This episode is nearly the same as Indiana Jones. By the way, Cyndaquil is the cutest of the 3 starter pokemon you get to choose at the start of the game.
A Shadow of a Drought: Featuring a lot of Slowpoke who are said to have ended a drought by yawning 400 years ago. But before that, the weather is much like a desert. Yow!
Goin’ Apricorn: Featuring a new Pokemon called Pineco. It also tells you about all the different apricorns and has something to do with that GS Ball thingie. But not only that, Brock captures a Pineco before Pokemon 3 The Movie began.
Thank you for your cooperation on what to rank, and good luck to all of you Pokemon trainers out there. By the way, watch out for that hot weather in which you’ll have no protection from it. Customer Review: The king of Kid’s WB! ‘Quil*4+Foooooooooom! Even though Nintendo Power is no longer selling the Pokemon comics anymore, I’m goin’ to love this volume just like you told me. They contain the following:
“Good ‘Quil Hunting” featuring Cyndaquil, the fire-type cuty, one of the cutest starter pokemon in the game. This episode is a total blast from the past!
“A Shadow of a Drought” where Ash and the gang explore the Slowpoke well. Boy it’s very hot outside.
And “Going Apricorn” (pronounced Ape ri corn) where Ash Ketchum discovers a special place that makes special pokeballs.
The reason why I’m going to love this volume is this:
1. The episode “Good ‘Quil Hunting” contains Cyndaquil, the cutest starter pokemon in the Gold and Silver games.
2. The episode “A Shadow of a Drought” reminds me of entering a desert that’s so hot!
3. The episode “Going Apricorn” is much like the movies that Disney makes, but much better.
Once again, thank you for your cooperation on what to rank. Good luck to all pokemon trainers out there, but be careful when you go outside in the hot weather.

Pokemon - The Johto Journeys - Ursaring Rampage (Vol. 51) Ash’s Totodile falls for a singing Azumarill, but totodile’s dancing fails t o impress the cuddly Aquarabbit Pokemon. Next, Ash tries to capture a rare Noctowl, but constantly gets outsmarted! While Pokemon outsmarting Ash is no surprise, everyone is in for a shock when a thundering herd of Ursaring forces Jessie to team-up with Ash and Misty to join Team Rocket! Will anything ever be the same? Customer Review: don’t even think twice… Pokemon is the greatest show ever. It can teach us sime valuable life lessons, such as who to trust. However, if you want Pokemon DVDs, you should not get this one. The 3rd season episodes all have the same plot, and “Forest Grumps” is one of the worst Pokemon episodes ever. I suggest buying DVDs from the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th seasons, but NOT the third season. This DVD gets 1 extra star for “Fowl Play”, which is one of the only decent episodes in the 3rd season, but “Love, Totodile Style and “Forest Grumps” are not worth it. If you insist on getting 3rd season episodes, get the Gym ones and “Midnight Heroes”. Customer Review: Misty joins Team Rocket! 1st episode: Ash’s Totodile falls in love with a singing Azumaril. 2nd episode: Ash tries to catch a Noctowl, but he keeps getting confused. 3rd episode: Thanks to and Ursaring group, Misty joins James and Meowth, and Jessie joins Ash, Brock, and Pikachu.

Pokemon - Picture Perfect (Vol. 17) Three of the four episodes that make up this 80-minute tape feature Snap, the Pok mon Photomaster, which gives this collection its name. In “The Case of the K-9 Caper!” the gang runs into a band of police-trained Pok mon, inspiring Ash to try to train Pikachu. Snap makes his appearance in “Pok mon Paparazzi” when he bribes Ash, Misty, and Brock with pancakes in attempt to earn a photo session with Pikachu. Why is he so obsessed with photographing Ash’s Pok mon? The fact that Team Rocket, in disguise as a sobbing elderly couple, has hired him could have something to do with it. Ash signs up for the Pok mon League Admissions Exams (a kind of SAT for Pok mon trainers) in “The Ultimate Test,” but must conduct his battles without his own pocket monsters. Finally, in “The Breeding Center Secret,” Misty turns in her Psyduck to a new breeding center for fixing up, only to discover it’s a theft operation conducted by a Team Rocket clone. Snap is on hand to take investigative photos and the others join in aiding Officer Jenny to right this Pok mon wrong. These four episodes are the last from the initial season. Followed by Water Blast. (Ages 3 and older) –Kimberly Heinrichs Customer Review: Can’t we all just get along? PKMN Snap preview included. Well, the video/DVD seems to focus on new character Snap/Todd. Snap/Todd also appears in the game Pokemon Snap, so consider these episodes a preview.
What I didn’t like was that J+J can’t get along with B+C. Luckily, my fanfics fixed that. Customer Review: Has one of the best episodes of all time! I bought this tape solely because it contains one of my favorite episodes, “The Breeding Center Secret.” I’m a Team Rocket fanatic and the new members Cassidy and Butch in this are sooo cool! The other episodes aren’t bad either.

The Chikorita Challenge (Pok mon Chapter Book) Ash catches a brand-new Pok mon Chikorita. He s excited, until Chikorita disappears. Looks like Chikorita is jealous of all the attention Ash gives Pikachu. Chikorita puts Ash s trainer skills to the test in this brand-new Pok mon adventure. Customer Review: Poor little Chikorita…………Shame on you,PIKACHU!!!!! I already have the book anyway. As for you people without the book, it’s about when Ash, Misty, Brock, Pikachu, and Togepi meet a beginner trainer named Casey who started out with an ADORABLE Chikorita. When Mr. “Show-Off-Big-Mouth” Ash insults Casey’s favorite baseball team, she challenges him to a pokemon battle. She loses easily. Thinking she betrayed the Electabuzz baseball team, she runs away with tears in her eyes. Casey then bumps into ‘losers’ Team Rocket. The trio convinces Casey that Ash cheated during the battle. Furious, Casey takes off to find him. Will Team Rocket finally sucseed in catching Pikachu AND Chikorita?
Then, Ash encounters a wild Chikorita. Wanting to add it to his team, he battles it. Soon Ash realizes the Chikorita is stubborn. “No problem” he says. But then Chikorita gets wounded really badly. Too worried to capture the little pokemon, Ash and Co. take poor Chikorita to the P.C. Nurse Joy assures them it will be fine. T.R. then steals the “rare” grass pokemon. Ash and Pikachu chase after them up a mountain. Chikorita reluctuntly runs off. Will Chikorita ever gain Ash’s trust?
Finally, a few days later, Ash gets his chance to try out his new Chikorita. Battling a speedy Ratticate, Chikorita gets tired. Ash decides to use his Pikachu; but Chikorita hears him. So, it decides to ruin the battle for Pikachu. But it ruins the battle for Ash too. Ash scolds his Chikorita and hurts it’s feelings without realizing it. Then, in the P.C., Chikorita refuses to talk to Ash, to Pikachu, or to anyone else! Nurse Joy then comes over and has a session with Ash and Chikorita. She then explains Chikorita is JEALOUS of Pikachu!! That night Chikorita runs away from Ash. Pikachu goes after it. T.R. finds out and go after them. Will Chikorita ever overcome it’s jealousy? Chikorita is my favorite pokemon (which explains the title). I think it was DUMB when Ash had to yell at a poor lil’ innocent pokemon for nothin’. So that explains the 4 stars. Customer Review: Chika This is a realy good book. It is one that you should have in your collection. It is the coolest. Chickorita is the cutest in the book.
I rate it 10000000000000000000000000 out of 10.

Pokemon - Psychic Surprise (Vol. 7) The adventures of Ash, Misty, Brock, and Pikachu veer toward the supernatural in this set of three episodes of the popular Pok mon series. In “The Ghost of Maiden’s Peak,” the perennially lonely Brock–and James of the evil but inept Team Rocket–find themselves smitten with the ghost of a beautiful girl who died 2,000 years ago. Ash learns an important lesson about self-sacrifice and concern for others when he gives up the first Pok mon he raised and trained in “Bye Bye Butterfree.” Despite the best efforts of Team Rocket, Butterfree finds a mate and departs with her for their nesting grounds, giving this story an uncharacteristically downbeat ending. After being lost in the woods for the umpteenth time, our heroes reach Saffron City only to discover it’s a very strange place in “Abra and the Psychic Showdown.” They’re rescued from their initial run-in with Team Rocket by Sabrina, a pretty little girl with mysterious psychic powers. The quartet learns that Sabrina can be an unreliable ally–and an unpredictable opponent. This cliffhanger ends with Ash, Misty, Brock, and Pikachu setting out for nearby Lavender Village to capture a ghost Pok mon to use against Abra, Sabrina’s psychic Pok mon. –Charles Solomon Customer Review: Three Creepy Episodes The three episodes on this Pokemon tape are as follows:

Pokemon - Hang Ten Pikachu (Vol. 22) The insatiable quest to catch ‘em all winds its way down to the coast–Seafoam Island, in specific–on Hang Ten, Pikachu. In “The Evolution Solution,” the first of this video’s three episodes, Ash takes a breather from Pok mon League training to tackle a mystery that only the island-based Professor Westwood V, creator of the Pok dex, can solve: Why does the dopey Shelder latch onto the equally dopey Slowpoke’s tail, creating the Slowbro? Episode 2, “The Pi-Kahuna,” pits Ash plus Pikachu and Puka, a curve-shooting, tube-riding new friend’s fellow pet Pikachu, against Humunga Dunga, a gigantic rogue wave that hits the island every 20 years, and “Make Room for Gloom,” the third episode, tracks the troop of Ash, Brock, and Misty back in town, where they bolster the dragging spirits of a diffident greenhouse operator on the brink of bankruptcy and, in the process, help blast off the terrible Team Rocket again. The first two segments’ altered scenery–the shore setting–effectively shuttles fans off on a good-time Pok mon getaway; it’s the equivalent of vicariously vacationing in Hawaii with the Bradys for parents. As usual, the dialogue escapes flatness–each character is exceptionally well drawn, and most are believable–and never condescends. Also, all three stories chug along at a pace that sits right with the skimpy attention-spanned. This video is only the latest in a miles-long testament to why this craze-generating series continues to keep kids watching–every “to be continued” closer seems to guarantee that more quick-witted, adventure-crammed cartoons are on the way. –Tammy La Gorce Customer Review: These episodes are excellent! All this three episodes are excellent, especially the Slowpoke one, it’s the funniest and most entertaining. Customer Review: Other for my collection, Ain’t gettin’ worse I am a big pokemon fan, I am 13, I am not afraid to say it for thousands to read. The surfin’ pikachu episode is funny,It is centered around a surfer named Jan. And Ash almost gets hit by a car and he almost drowns.

Pok mon Heroes The fifth Pok mon movie takes Ash, Misty, Brock, and Pikachu to the city of Altomare, a thinly disguised Venice guarded by the shape-shifting Pok mon Latios and Latias. Two new agents of Giovanni’s, Annie and Oakley, are out to capture these rare Pok mon–reducing Team Rocket to the role of spectators. Latios and Latias are linked to an elaborate, computer-generated mechanism that defends the city, controls the tides and brings fossil Pok mon back to life. Ash and Pikachu foil the evil plan with some help from Misty, Brock, and Bianca, a girl who lives in Altomare with her kindly grandfather. The contrived story suggests that as far as features are concerned, the Pok mon franchise has pretty much run dry. (The film earned less than $1 million in its U.S. theatrical release.) Extras include a Camp Pikachu short and a Pok mon Heroes trivia game. (Rated G, all ages: minor cartoon violence) –Charles Solomon Customer Review: The Pokemon are Back for their Final Theatrical Voyage This part 6/10. “Pokemon Heroes” really stuck with me after I watched it. It also has a great rewatchable factor. I do think the obvious reference to Annie Oakley was corny though. Who would ever name their daughter Oakley? Latias and Latios are interesting. I like having two main characters with this one. The connection between the two made this a great watch. The likelihood to Venice was great. I loved watching the race through Alto Mare at the beginning. Definitely a good comeback for Pokemon. Customer Review: Best Pokemon Movie I’ve seen most of the Pokemon movies with my son, and I definitely think this is the best one by far. It may not be the best movie in the world, but it’s worth watching. All of the other Pokemon movies seem to have the same exact plot, just with different characters thrown in. This movie has a wider range of characters and motives, and is visually quite nice. I could actually relate to the “joyful” scenes in this movie as well.

Pokemon Graphic Novel, Volume 2: Pikachu Shocks Back (Viz Graphic Novel) The entire four-issue miniseries Pikachu Shocks Back, collected in this graphic novel, stars favorite characters from the Pokemon TV series - Ash, Misty, Brock, and clumsy Team Rocket. Ash wins a race against dozens of other trainers, and then helps Mikey, another Pokemon trainer, prove his pet’s worth. Pikachu wanders off to find the legendary Pokemon Paradise, and Ash must decide whether to let Pikachu return to its own kind. Customer Review: A well-drawn and original Pokemon manga This next installment in Toshihiro Ono’s shonen(boys) Pokemon manga series is called ‘Pikachu Shocks Back’. It’s aimed more at older kids and teenagers, and the artwork is drawn very well. There are four stories here: (1)The Human Race and the Pokemon Race: Ash decides to travel along with Brock, and he meets up with Misty(again) and her three beautiful sisters at the Fuschia Festival. After causing a Tauros to get angry, Misty and Ash end up being saved by a girl named Lara, who’s arm is broken thanks to an accident she had while riding her Ponyta. Ash decides to help her out by racing in the Free-For-All with her Ponyta. Unfortunately for Ash, a racer that likes to cheat has other plans for the boy with the red cap. (2)To Evolve or not to Evolve That is the Question: Misty joins up with Ash and Brock as they head to Stone Town, the place where Evolution Stones cmoe from. Misty meets up with a timid boy named Mikey, and finds out he’s apart of some underground society that likes to evolve their Pokemon. The problem is, Mikey doesn’t want to evolve his Eevee. And that doesn’t exactly make his three brothers happy with him. Misty also begins to question whether she has a ‘weakness for younger men’. (3)Pikachu’s Excellent Adventure: Pikachu gets seperated from Ash, and tries to find his way back to his trainer. The electric mouse joins up with Squirtle and some other Pokemon on a journey to find a Poke-Paradise that’s supposedly guarded by some godess. On their travels, they meet up with a trio of shady fellows that call themselves ‘Team Rocket’. (4)You Gotta Have Friends: Ash begins to wonder if Pikachu is drifting away from him as he stumbles upon a Pikachu colony.
The artwork is way more realistic than the art in the other Pokemon mangas, and I thought it was kinda cool. Even though this series was aimed at teenagers, Viz decided to edit alot of the scenes to make it appropriate for the kiddies, making the women and the girls less ‘endowed’, and they now wear FAR more clothes than they originally did. This was good and bad at the same time, because they sorta went overboard with the editing; Misty and some of the other girls are like walls now, if you know what I mean! But still, this is a great book if you’re a Pokemon fan, or a shonen manga fan. It’s got lots of action, funny and likable characters, and some great artwork. Customer Review: this one by far would be my favourite! the comic at the very beginning was the cutest and the first story, the human race and the pokemon race. looked amazing althou ponyta looked more stronger and less graceful. the second story, to evolve or not to evolve (i’m sure you all know what this is about) has the best pictures and is soooo cute. Pikachus adventure, is a new story that is wonderful and a nice touch. the the last one you gotta have friends… was touching and confirmed pikachu is a guy!!

Pokemon - Charizard! (Vol. 15) Heroes Ash, Misty, Brock, and Pikachu continue their adventures. In “Attack of the Prehistoric Pok mon,” there’s a gold-rush-style fever to discover Pok mon fossils in Grampa Canyon, but the heroes–as well as the dreaded Team Rocket–find themselves trapped in a cave where the prehistoric Pok mon, including Charizard, are anything but fossils: they’re alive and angry! When Pikachu loses his voice in “A Chansey Operation,” Ash, Misty, and Brock rush him to the closest hospital, which is designated for humans only. The doctor is initially reluctant to treat Pikachu, but by the end of the episode, he’s engaged the good gang to help out in a rush of Pok mon emergencies. Finally, “Holy Matrimony!” reveals James of Team Rocket’s background–he’s really wealthy and his parents are desperate to find him. It won’t matter much that Brit James has parents with heavily put-on Louisiana-toned accents, especially when it turns out they’re tricking him into marrying. (Ages 5 and older) –N.F. Mendoza Customer Review: Charizard rules! Charizard is my favorite Pokemon! I also love dinosaurs, so Aerodactyl agaisn’t Charizard is one cool battle! The other 2 episodes aren’t bad either. (Charizard impression) Roar!!! Customer Review: Dinosaurs, Doctors, and Psychotic Fiances This is definitely one of the best Pokemon videos! It starts with “Attack of the Prehistoric Pokemon”. Ash and his fellow twerps end up in Grandpa Canyon, just in time for the “Great Fossil Rush”. Ash and Team Rocket end up underground with an angry Aerodactyl! It’s up to Jigglypuff to save the day! Next is “A Chansey Operation”. Doctor Proctor saves Pikachu from choking to death on an apple, but then has to help and entire truckload of Pokemon. After some light flirting, the Doc convinces Jessie to help him, along with the twerps. Finally, there’s “Holy Matrimony!” We find out the truth about James’s past! His crazy finace, Jessiebelle (who looks like eveyone’s favorite Rocket Girl), tries to hold him hostage, but Growlie, his pet Growlithe comes to the rescue! Then, Jessie and James leave in thier balloon, provoking one of the most Rocketshippy moments in Pokemon history! This tape is the best!

Pokemon - Totally Togepi (Vol. 16) This video features three more episodes from the popular Pok mon TV series. In “So Near, Yet So Farfetch’d,” the bird Pok mon of the title is elusive prey for Brock, Misty, and Ash. But the mysterious master of this Pok mon is even more of a puzzler. Fans will be surprised by who saves the day. In the second segment, the egg Brock has carried since a previous episode finally hatches and the first of the new Pok mon is born, a cutie pie named Togepi. This starts a grand match to find out who will carry the new Pok mon, including Team Rocket. When Bulbasaur looks to evolve, there’s more than meets the eye in “The Mysterious Garden.” Along the way in this trio of adventures, an upgraded Pok dex is delivered and Team Rocket wins the day. OK, just kidding about the last part–Team Rocket will always fail in its inevitable way. (Ages 4 and older) –Doug Thomas Customer Review: I Love Togepi!
