Pok mon - Starter Set EN Gotta catch ‘em all! But before you decide, try out the Pok mon 2-Player Starter Set. You’ll get 60 Pok mon trading cards, plus a bonus foil super card, 10 damage counters, and complete rules for this fast-paced game. The deck is meant to be split into two, 30-card minidecks (listed in the rules) to learn the game, but they can be combined into one regular deck as well. Players compete to bring out their combatant cards to the table, and power them up for battle with energy cards. Whoever wins the game is the champion Pok mon trainer! It’s never the same game twice; myriad card patterns abound, so it’ll take a long time for the challenge to wear thin. –Rob Lightner Customer Review: Good game I had gotten this deck way back when it first came out, 1999 I believe? 1998? Somewhere around there. It was very exciting to me & I took it over my friend`s house for us to test it out & learn how to play it. She beat me every time, I lost just about every game I played, even with the new decks that came out. But oh well, even though I always loose, I still had fun.

Pokemon Trading Card Game (Game Boy Version) (Prima’s Official Strategy Guide) How to collect all 228 cards Strategies for building awesome decks Easy explanations of complex rules Earn all eight Card Badges and defeat the four Grand Masters Tips on trading cards and battling your friends Complete card catalogue Learn to use the link up cable and Comm Link Infrared lasers Customer Review: FUN The Pokemon Trading Card Game is a great way to be able to play the game without having to waste all the time by shuffling the deck and taking the cards. It is a fast, fun and effective way to play the game. Customer Review: Overall good strategy guide. Lacks some details Prima’s guide for Pokemon is pretty darn good. The layout is done nicely and explantions of the different parts of the game are done well. Maps and key figures are identified and the screen captures are nice and clear.
Out of the 226 cards that can be collected in this game, Prima does an excellent job in cataloging each one by power and energy type. They also give very helpful pro’s and con’s on each card and tell you which ones are worth having, and a few that you probably don’t want to use in your deck.. An intersting side note: Prima also gives the origin on many of the card, that is, if they debuted in Japan or America first and when. Also, unique to the Gameboy are special cards only obtained in the Gameboy version.
There are some strategies on how to build certains decks that will aid you in defeating some of the club masters, and a nice feature is Prima identifies the club master and other boss decks so you can build a great deck before you encounter them.
The one drawback I see with this guide is the lack of card combinations descriptions. Though there are some, there are a lot more to be discovered that could have been written about. Also, if they can break down the decks of the club masters and bosses, they could have also done the same for other NPC’s within the game, but give very vague guidelines/hints on most of the NPC’s
Overall, a good buy for the price.

Pokemon Team Rocket American Trading Card Game Booster Pack This pack contains 11 additional collectible Team Rocket cards for adding some of that dark Pok mon force to your basic 60-card Pok mon deck (or larger collection). Power up your game and your collection, trade duplicates with friends, or optimize your Pok mon arsenal before that next game–Oddish, Slowpoke, Dark Alakazam, who knows what might be lurking within? The odds of getting premium cards are approximately 1:33. –Richard Farr Customer Review: Rockets Rule! Rockets are by far the most powerful cards in all of the sets (including Neo Genisis.)Their attacks are absolutely stupendous and their effects are stunning. For example, Dark Blastoise contains two moves. The first one: Hydrocannon: It does 30 damage with 2 water energys (required to use the attack at all), 50 with 3, and 70 with 4 (at a maximum.) The second one: Rocket Tackle: It requires one water energy and two colorless, does 40 damage while Dark Blastoise does 10 to itself BUT you get to flip a coin. If heads your opponent cannot attack you his next turn, if tails, he can. Are you catching on now? Oh, and something else…Rockets do have a weakness. Their hit points. Dark Blastoise has 70 HP, Dark Alakazam has 60 HP, and Dark Charizard has 80 HP (the highest of all.) Fortunately, this is usually not a problem if you’re in your 2nd or 3rd stage of evolution, because you can blast ‘em away before they can even flinch! Rocket cards rule in decks, and are good for collecting! GET THEM!!! Customer Review: The Evil Side Of Pokemon Cards! Now I finally get some Dark Pokemon to strike fear into the game as I play! Not only are these cards fun to play with, but because they are the most powerful of all the sets I can get my opponet sweating when I put one of these babies out! Just make sure you’re kids aren’t scared easly because some of the violent pictures tend to frighten the younger when I play them. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Pokemon Holiday Collector’s Tin Set of 3 # Pokemon Holiday Collector’s Tin Set of 3 includes: Red Infernape # Blue Empoleon # Green Torterra Customer Review: Pokemon Lover My 10 year old son is a pokemon nut. This collector tin had a great price, offered cool “tins” and had 3 awesome cards plus several more cards to make a great collection. This plus other Pokemon card games has encouraged him to learn more math (hit points and levels). He has had to read more and memorize plus learns science and geography. Some of these may be fictional but it helps open doors to understanding and learning. Excellent decks and sharp cards and containers.
