Pok mon Heroes The fifth Pok mon movie takes Ash, Misty, Brock, and Pikachu to the city of Altomare, a thinly disguised Venice guarded by the shape-shifting Pok mon Latios and Latias. Two new agents of Giovanni’s, Annie and Oakley, are out to capture these rare Pok mon–reducing Team Rocket to the role of spectators. Latios and Latias are linked to an elaborate, computer-generated mechanism that defends the city, controls the tides and brings fossil Pok mon back to life. Ash and Pikachu foil the evil plan with some help from Misty, Brock, and Bianca, a girl who lives in Altomare with her kindly grandfather. The contrived story suggests that as far as features are concerned, the Pok mon franchise has pretty much run dry. (The film earned less than $1 million in its U.S. theatrical release.) Extras include a Camp Pikachu short and a Pok mon Heroes trivia game. (Rated G, all ages: minor cartoon violence) –Charles Solomon Customer Review: The Pokemon are Back for their Final Theatrical Voyage This part 6/10. “Pokemon Heroes” really stuck with me after I watched it. It also has a great rewatchable factor. I do think the obvious reference to Annie Oakley was corny though. Who would ever name their daughter Oakley? Latias and Latios are interesting. I like having two main characters with this one. The connection between the two made this a great watch. The likelihood to Venice was great. I loved watching the race through Alto Mare at the beginning. Definitely a good comeback for Pokemon. Customer Review: Best Pokemon Movie I’ve seen most of the Pokemon movies with my son, and I definitely think this is the best one by far. It may not be the best movie in the world, but it’s worth watching. All of the other Pokemon movies seem to have the same exact plot, just with different characters thrown in. This movie has a wider range of characters and motives, and is visually quite nice. I could actually relate to the “joyful” scenes in this movie as well.

Pokemon - Mewtwo Returns In this direct-to-video sequel to Pok mon: The First Movie, Ash, Misty, and Brock continue exploring the Johto region, then have to rescue Pikachu after Jessie and James of Team Rocket kidnap him. The search leads them to the hidden plateau where the redoubtable Mewtwo has established a haven for the cloned Pok mon from the previous film. The evil Giovanni is plotting to recapture Mewtwo and renew his efforts to create an army of bio-engineered Pok mon. Aided by the reluctant Meowth, Ash and his friends defeat Giovanni and his henchman in a battle that is less over the top than the original feature but more intense than the program’s usual adventures and lessons in sportsmanship. The result is a mildly amusing, not particularly involving film. Mewtwo’s angry brooding and some of the action may be too scary for very small children. Unrated; suitable for ages 6 and up. –Charles Solomon Customer Review: An Interesting Path For Pokemon This is review 4/10. This is an interesting path for Pokemon movies. Although most don’t consider it one of the movies. This movie, from what I believe, takes place between Pokemon 3 and Pokemon 4ever. I liked Mewtwo Returns. I thought it was repetitive at times and I miss the CGI from the ‘official’ movies. However, I thought it was nice to see the return of Mewtwo. I especially like the DVD feature for the uncut story of Mewtwo’s origin. I thought that was exciting. By the way, the Pikachu balloon was cute. I also like the fact that Mew wasn’t in this movie as a main character. Customer Review: Pokemon Rules All Pokemon movies will get 5 stars from me. My daughter loves Pokemon and we’ve watched this movie several times together and she about a hundred times by herself and its very entertaining.

Pokemon - The Final Badge (Vol. 20) A trio of action adventures from the popular Pok mon TV series finds our indomitable heroes Ash, Misty, and Brock persevering in their quest to rid the world of evil. In the first episode, “Clefairy Tales,” Ash is on his way to Viridian City to compete for his eighth, and final, badge when he finds himself witness to a rash of alien abductions–or are they? Worse yet, Pikachu has been kidnapped for use in an enemy space launch. Can Ash’s Bulbasaur save the day? Undoubtedly yes, and just in time for Ash to begin his Earth Badge competition in “The Battle of the Badge.” Does Ash really have what it takes to join the Pok mon League? It’s showtime in Viridian City’s gym against the fearsome gym leader and his “ultimate Pok mon.” Let’s hope Ash doesn’t quit when Team Rocket attempts to subdue him once and for all, especially since Ash and cohorts are due to visit Pok mon Circus. In the last episode, “It’s Mr. Mime Time,” a supremely fierce Pok mon gives Ash, Misty, and Brock a three-ring performance they’ll never forget. Though there’s nothing profound here, the formula is pure Pok mon, with enough mischief and general tomfoolery to please fans ages 4 to 10. Followed by The Po-ke Corral. –Lynn Gibson Customer Review: GIOVANNI REVEALED!!! After months and months of waiting, we finally get to see the face of Giovanni, the mysterious evil leader of Team Rocket! Up until the episode of the Viridian Gym, he had always hid his face in the shadows and used one of those voice-changers to disguise himself. This is the first time we ever see his whole face and hear his real voice. Even though he has a pretty small role overall in the anime, he is one of the coolest characters of all just because he is so mysterious. And then of course there’s the appearance of Mewtwo, but come on: you just have to admire that Giovanni for being the only human who was ever able to control Mewtwo. Customer Review: Final Badge+Mewtwo Kicking Gary’s Butt=Awsome Episode I had to get this movie! It’s so cool! In the first episode of this video, Clafairys have built a space ship and they plan to take Pikachu with them! The part I like the most is when Jigglypuff and the Clafairy have a slapping contest because the Clafairy took Jigglypuff’s marker/microphone. In Battle of the Final Badge, we get to see Mewtwo kick Gary’s butt with no effort! Of course, Mewtwo is in its armor and looks so cool! Giovanni leaves Jessie and James in charge because he has to go to an emergency accident. When Ash battles them he soon finds out that the platforms are rigged and when his Pokemon get hurt, he feel their pain too! The next episode shows a lazy Mr. Mime that will not obey the trainer. Can Ash and Co. get the Mr. Mime to perform again? These are my favorite episodes in the entire seires! The Clafairy one is so funny!
