Pokemon - The Johto Journeys - Ursaring Rampage (Vol. 51) Pokemon - The Johto Journeys - Ursaring Rampage (Vol. 51) Ash’s Totodile falls for a singing Azumarill, but totodile’s dancing fails t o impress the cuddly Aquarabbit Pokemon. Next, Ash tries to capture a rare Noctowl, but constantly gets outsmarted! While Pokemon outsmarting Ash is no surprise, everyone is in for a shock when a thundering herd of Ursaring forces Jessie to team-up with Ash and Misty to join Team Rocket! Will anything ever be the same?
Customer Review: don’t even think twice…
Pokemon is the greatest show ever. It can teach us sime valuable life lessons, such as who to trust. However, if you want Pokemon DVDs, you should not get this one. The 3rd season episodes all have the same plot, and “Forest Grumps” is one of the worst Pokemon episodes ever. I suggest buying DVDs from the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th seasons, but NOT the third season. This DVD gets 1 extra star for “Fowl Play”, which is one of the only decent episodes in the 3rd season, but “Love, Totodile Style and “Forest Grumps” are not worth it. If you insist on getting 3rd season episodes, get the Gym ones and “Midnight Heroes”.

Pokemon - Our Hero Meowth (Vol. 19) Pokemon - Our Hero Meowth (Vol. 19) Princesses, kitties, and mermaids are the order of the day in this three-episode installment of the Pok mon video library. First up, Misty and the villainess Jessie go head to head, or tiara to tiara, on Princess Day to win a collector’s set of Pok mon dolls. First it’s a beauty contest and then a Pok mon battle in “Princess vs. Princess.” Next, Team Rocket’s maladjusted Pok mon, Meowth, is mistaken for another, more heroic Meowth by a little boy whom the kinder, gentler Pok mon once rescued in “The Purr-fect Meowth.” Finally, Misty and the boys head back to her hometown to let her three sisters exercise her seahorse Pok mon in their gymnasium pool, only to get caught up in their underwater theatrical production in “The Misty Mermaid.” Jessie and James (in a balletic tutu!) show up, and the play turns into a Pok mon battle with Brock and Ash joining the aquatic show. The play’s ending disappoints neither its audience nor the phalanx of Pok mon fans out there. (Ages preschool and older) –Kimberly Heinrichs
Customer Review: Go Misty
Finnally 2 whole shows about Misty. As you may know Misty is one of the main charecters. She sometimes is sort of mean but shes 100 times better than Team Rocket.
Our hero Meowth is OK.
I rate the ones about Misty 100000000000000000000000000 out of 10. I rate our hero Meowth 5 out of 5.
Customer Review: Princess Vs Princess — The Purr-fect Hero — Misty Mermaid
“Princess Vs Princess” is a good episode for Misty and Jessie. I assume this Princess Festival thing is a Japanese holiday that we don’t get in America. For a historical note, this is when Jessie catches Lickitung. Anyway, it seems the deciding factor in the princess contest is a Pokemon battle, for which Jessie has borrowed Weezing and Misty has borrowed Vulpix (always cute) and some of Ash’s Pokemon. Surprise, surprise, Jessie does not win, though she would have if Psyduck were more obedient. Anyway, good episode for Misty or Team Rocket fans. I don’t know what it has to do with Meowth specifically except that he is briefly in the battle and reminds Jessie that she still has Lickitung after the rest get defeated. “The Purr-fect Hero” — One of Meowth’s episodes, although it doesn’t focus on him as completely as “Go West Young Meowth” does. It’s another Japanese holiday, which we are calling “Kids’ Day.” I like cats, so it was nice to have an episode featuring another Meowth that acts more catlike. Team Rocket’s disguise for this episode is magicians, with James as the lovely assistant. An above average episode in my opinion. “The Misty Mermaid” — Good if you like Misty and her sisters, I guess. James’s, uh, costume, uh… this is not my favorite episode. But if you don’t mind James wearing pink frilly stuff (at least he complains about it a little), well then… I really don’t see what this episode has to do with Meowth. One thing I like about this episode is that Arbok is really, really formidable. IN the water, the water Pokemon’s element, it is winning (!) against about seven water Pokemon at once (!) until the lousy Seel goes and evolves and Arbok finally loses. Go Arbok! So, Lickitung was great in the Princess festival episode, and Arbok is great in the mermaid episode. Jessie has really great Pokemon.

Pokemon - Charizard! (Vol. 15) Pokemon - Charizard! (Vol. 15) Heroes Ash, Misty, Brock, and Pikachu continue their adventures. In “Attack of the Prehistoric Pok mon,” there’s a gold-rush-style fever to discover Pok mon fossils in Grampa Canyon, but the heroes–as well as the dreaded Team Rocket–find themselves trapped in a cave where the prehistoric Pok mon, including Charizard, are anything but fossils: they’re alive and angry! When Pikachu loses his voice in “A Chansey Operation,” Ash, Misty, and Brock rush him to the closest hospital, which is designated for humans only. The doctor is initially reluctant to treat Pikachu, but by the end of the episode, he’s engaged the good gang to help out in a rush of Pok mon emergencies. Finally, “Holy Matrimony!” reveals James of Team Rocket’s background–he’s really wealthy and his parents are desperate to find him. It won’t matter much that Brit James has parents with heavily put-on Louisiana-toned accents, especially when it turns out they’re tricking him into marrying. (Ages 5 and older) –N.F. Mendoza
Customer Review: Charizard rules!
Charizard is my favorite Pokemon! I also love dinosaurs, so Aerodactyl agaisn’t Charizard is one cool battle! The other 2 episodes aren’t bad either. (Charizard impression) Roar!!!
Customer Review: Dinosaurs, Doctors, and Psychotic Fiances
This is definitely one of the best Pokemon videos! It starts with “Attack of the Prehistoric Pokemon”. Ash and his fellow twerps end up in Grandpa Canyon, just in time for the “Great Fossil Rush”. Ash and Team Rocket end up underground with an angry Aerodactyl! It’s up to Jigglypuff to save the day! Next is “A Chansey Operation”. Doctor Proctor saves Pikachu from choking to death on an apple, but then has to help and entire truckload of Pokemon. After some light flirting, the Doc convinces Jessie to help him, along with the twerps. Finally, there’s “Holy Matrimony!” We find out the truth about James’s past! His crazy finace, Jessiebelle (who looks like eveyone’s favorite Rocket Girl), tries to hold him hostage, but Growlie, his pet Growlithe comes to the rescue! Then, Jessie and James leave in thier balloon, provoking one of the most Rocketshippy moments in Pokemon history! This tape is the best!

Pokemon - Mewtwo Returns Pokemon - Mewtwo Returns In this direct-to-video sequel to Pok mon: The First Movie, Ash, Misty, and Brock continue exploring the Johto region, then have to rescue Pikachu after Jessie and James of Team Rocket kidnap him. The search leads them to the hidden plateau where the redoubtable Mewtwo has established a haven for the cloned Pok mon from the previous film. The evil Giovanni is plotting to recapture Mewtwo and renew his efforts to create an army of bio-engineered Pok mon. Aided by the reluctant Meowth, Ash and his friends defeat Giovanni and his henchman in a battle that is less over the top than the original feature but more intense than the program’s usual adventures and lessons in sportsmanship. The result is a mildly amusing, not particularly involving film. Mewtwo’s angry brooding and some of the action may be too scary for very small children. Unrated; suitable for ages 6 and up. –Charles Solomon
Customer Review: An Interesting Path For Pokemon
This is review 4/10. This is an interesting path for Pokemon movies. Although most don’t consider it one of the movies. This movie, from what I believe, takes place between Pokemon 3 and Pokemon 4ever. I liked Mewtwo Returns. I thought it was repetitive at times and I miss the CGI from the ‘official’ movies. However, I thought it was nice to see the return of Mewtwo. I especially like the DVD feature for the uncut story of Mewtwo’s origin. I thought that was exciting. By the way, the Pikachu balloon was cute. I also like the fact that Mew wasn’t in this movie as a main character.
Customer Review: Pokemon Rules
All Pokemon movies will get 5 stars from me. My daughter loves Pokemon and we’ve watched this movie several times together and she about a hundred times by herself and its very entertaining.

Team Rocket Blasts Off! (Pokemon Chapter Books #5) Team Rocket Blasts Off! (Pokemon Chapter Books #5) Customer Review: One of the better Pokemon books
If your child loves Pokemon, and mine does to the exclusion of almost everything else, this book is a great one. Mine is a slightly advanced reader of age 8, and more than anything else he loves to read and imagine himself in complicated Pokemon battles, to envision the world of cuddly, but fierce Pokemon. This book, which includes a battle using one of our favorite Pokemon, the elephant-like Phanpy, is one of the better chapter books for ages 8 and up.
Customer Review: The whole gang’s here!!!!!!
James and his friends are just fall-down funny!!! Jessie is unbelivably gorgeous, Meowth is hilarious, and James is really handsome. James of Team Rocket has always been a bishonen. He loves his friends deeply.

Pokemon - Psychic Surprise/Primeape Problems (Vol. 7-8) Pokemon - Psychic Surprise/Primeape Problems (Vol. 7-8) Customer Review: Psychic Surprise
I thought it was a great movie, but not the best in the Pokemon collection. In (THE GHOST OF MAIDEN’S PEAK) Ash, Misty, and Brock find themselves in a festival marking Summer’s end. Brock is disappointed because he has to wait a whole year to meet a girl. He then spots a beautiful girl on the docks. Team Rocket is hanging around when James spots the girl too. Pikachu sees that the girl is a Pokemon. Later, Team Rocket is searching for a way to get rich. Brock runs into an old lady whose name is never revealed. She tells James and Brock that a horrible fate is waiting for them. During the festival, a man shows a crowd a painting of the maiden. He explains that the maiden is waiting for the one she loves. James and Brock notice that the girl in the painting is the same girl they both seen earlier. The man tells them that she is over 2,000 years old. Later at the shrine, Jessie and Meowth plans to steal the painting. James wants to stay and look at the statue of the maiden. Brock too, stays while Ash and Misty leave for the festival and tell Brock that they are staying at a nearby Pokemon Center. Later that night, Brock and James are both hypnotized by the ghost of the maiden. The next morning, they find James and Meowth at the shrine where the old woman tells them the legend and offers to sell them ” ghost stickers ” to repel the ghost. It doesn’t work and they soon find the ghost is the Pokemon Gastly. In (Bye Bye Butterfree) It’s Butterfree mating season when Team Rocket steals all of the Butterfree including the pink Butterfreee that Ash’s has fell in love with. Ash’s Butterfree is rejected at first by this beautiful one, but changes its mine when Butterfree and Pikachu stop Team Rocket’s efforts. Ash and the gang wave farewell to the Butterfree and Brock notices that Ash has helped Butterfree grow as he too has grown. In (Abra and the Psychic Showdown) Ash has arrived in Saffron City and after Team Rocket tries to steal Pikachu, a small girl saves Pikachu and Teleports them to the Saffron City gym. A man tells them it is the home of Sabrina, the Saffron Gym Leader. A young man shows them to the stadium and Ash sees the small girl, only to find it’s a doll. Sabrina was controlling it. The doll says that if Ash loses, he’ll have to play with her. Ash accepts as they begin an all-out one-on-one match. Sabrina chooses Abra and Ash chooses Pikachu. At first, Abra sits idle. Ash tells Pikachu to use Thundershock. Abra teleports and evolves into Kadabra. Misty tells Ash it’s not against the rules for a Pokemon to evolve during a battle. Ash tells her that it is against the rules to Teleport out of the stadium and tells Pikachu to fill the whole stadium with electricity. Kadabra uses its psychic powers to use the blast against Pikachu. It connects and Kadabra uses Confusion to make Pikachu dance. It then uses Psychic and hurles Pikachu up to the ceiling and back down again. Ash forfeits and Sabrina turns them into dolls. The strange man Teleports them from the gym and tells Ash to catch a Ghost Pokemon from Lavender to have a chance against Sabrina.

Another standard Viz release. Five episodes aired just as they did on Kids WB. Have they even considered adding a movie trailer or anything? Just as an extra? Well, as long as the episodes themselves remain sharp and clear, it’s good enough.

Pokemon - Poke-Friends (Vol. 4) Pokemon - Poke-Friends (Vol. 4) Want to get at the heart of the Pok mon craze? Fast-forward to the end of this video to see the video exclusive Pok Rap, a music video that lists all 151 collectable Pok mon. That’s right: 151 creatures to collect. Think of them as the starting lineup of all the NBA teams. Instead of knowing a player’s stats, Pok mon fans have to memorize creature types and a Pok mon’s certain strength.

This video contains three episodes from the animated Pok mon TV series. Our intrepid heroes Ash and his friends continue their quest, collecting Pok mon along the way. In “Bulbasaur and the Hidden Village,” the heroes stumble on to a Pok mon health spa where injured Pok mon creatures can take in a little R&R. The courageous Bulbasaur that defends the spa does not take kindly to Ash’s desire to be his trainer (and keep him in his Pok ball storage container). “Charmander–The Stray Pok mon” finds the cute title character abandoned on a rock awaiting a new owner. The poor critter will die if his tail light ever goes out. What will he do in the upcoming thunderstorm? The title characters in “Here Comes the Squirtle Squad” are water-spouting beasts with Jack Nicholson sunglasses and a one-word vocabulary (”squirtle, squirtle” is heard in a dozen different variations). Of course, Team Rocket is there to foil our heroes and steal Ash’s valuable Pikachu. –Doug Thomas
Customer Review: The plot progresses in an odd way. Still good though.
So, our “hero” Ash got lost on his ay to the 3rd gym.Doesn’t really surpise me.. Anyway, after stumbling through a bunch of traps, he finds the Hidden Village (TM), a spa for abandoned pokemon. It’s protected by a Bulbasaur since pokemon thieves would certainly like to catch all these injured pokemon. Of course Jessie and James show up, and Ash decides to help Bulbasaur to beat them. Melanie, Bulbasaur’s trainer, asks Ash to take Bulbasaur along on his journey so he can grow stronger. So there we have another pokemon.
Later, the group finds a Charmander on a rock in the woods. It’s waiting for it’s trainer, so Ash can’t really catch it. A bit later, at the pokemon center, he overhears Damian, Charmander’s trainer, brag about how he abandoned his pokemon. After Brock beats up Damian, Ash and the others save the pokemon. The next morning, Charmander is gone again, but it returns to save Ash and Pikachu from Jessie and James, who have appearantly used their heads for a change, and donned electric-proof suits. They weren’t fireproof though. Damian returns and want Charmander back, but Charmander burns him and goes with Ash instead.
Even later, the group meets a gang of Squirtles who are terrorizing a nearby town. After teaming up with Meowth, they kidnap Ash and the others so Jessie and James can get Pikachu. Jessie has other plans, and decides to bomb the Squirtle Squad to death with a lot of bombs dropped from their balloon. Meanwhile, Ash tries to save Pikachu by getting a Super Potion, but is knocked out by Gary. When he returns, Jessie and James have started their attack. Ash saves the leader Squirtle when he breaks his leg in the battlefield (and is unable to run from the bombs) and together they destroy the balloon and puut out the fire. The Squirtle leader decides to go with Ash.

Well, certainly a decent batch of episodes, even though it seems a bit silly that Ash catches all three starter pokemon at once. But if he didn’t, I’m sure we would’ve gotten a bunch of crappy filler between these episodes, so it’s okay. But he really should get to the 3rd gym soon. In the Charmander episode it appears he’s headed North of Cerulean, which means he’s been walking in a circle for 3 episodes. Hm.
