Pokemon Graphic Novel, Volume 4: Surfs Up, Pikachu (Pok mon) Pokemon Graphic Novel, Volume 4: Surf’s Up, Pikachu (Pok mon) It’s a Pikachu luau as Ash and Pikachu set sail on a Lapras to visit the Orange Islands. In a series of zany adventures inspired by the new season of Pokemon TV episodes, they battle tropical seas and wild jungles while they help protect the islands from a hungry Snorlax. Along the way, Ash continues his quest to become the world’s greatest Pokemon trainer by seeking out new Pokemon - and new challenges.
Customer Review: …the last book *sniff*
What a great way to end the series… a huge slowpoke, while the book is halariusly funny, and full of humour it wasn’t what i was lead up to believe, Jesse and James are cute but they didn’t really show much romance between the two, although a lot better than what the tv’s doing. there wasn’t much AAML but i can live with that.
Customer Review: Yaaaaaaay!!
I basically can say I agree with all the other positive reviews here, I just wanted to add another good review. And TRUST ME, this book is the number one must-have for Rocketshippers! You will not be disappointed! It has everything- humor, romance, excellent illustrations, a good story (based off the anime), and there is a GREAT battle between Ash and Drake at the end!

Pokemon Johto League Champions, Volume 1 Pokemon Johto League Champions, Volume 1 Customer Review: This DVD is cheaper, & has 7 episodes instead of the usual 3
BUY THIS!

It includes a Gym Battle, Ash finally catching the bug menace Beedrill, Team Rocket showing their talents for radio shows, how to defeat a Miltank’s Rollout - this is useful as in the game Rollout often takes down all of your Pokemon - and much more!

Buy this with the DVDs Flying Ace and Buggy Boogie for a real Gym Leader battle bonanza!
Customer Review: What is going on?
Ok, I know Pokemon is this big craze, even thought it has calmed down, but what are they doing? I mean, first off, they are jumping the DVD’s around like crazy with their releases, and now, they are making it better! I mean, I never wanted to spend 25 plus odd dollars on one DVD that only had three episodes, but now they are putting 7 on an episode? The orange league season has 12/13 episodes per DVD. Will they be doing this for all the old episodes (going back to #1, putting more then THREE EPSIODES PER DVD!!!…) If anyone knows this respond back…but don’t go out buying the old DVD’s…save yourself some sanity! (But buy these ones of cource, cuz Orange Islands is basically the best season…although they took away my Brock :( )

Psyduck Ducks Out (Pokemon Chapter Book #15) Psyduck Ducks Out (Pokemon Chapter Book #15) Another adventure with Ash, Misty, Pikachu and the gang.
Customer Review: Psyduck Ducks Out but will Misty?
It all starts out when Misty and Brock are looking for a place to camp, but Ash wants to get to the next Pokemon gym. Pikachu convinces Ash that it needs to rest. Ash agrees but he complains about it. When Misty realizes that Togepi is hungry she calls on Staryu to get fruit out of a tree, but Psyduck pops out instead. Misty is frustrated, and she goes to look for fruit. Then Misty flashes back to the first time she met Psyduck. She meets Psyduck in Hop-Hop-Hop Town. Will Misty and friends help Officer Jenny find the missing children and help Nurse Joy find out what’s wrong with the Pokemon? Then it’s off to the Fuchsia City Gym. Where Misty,Ash,Brock, and Koga are attacked by Team Rocket. Can Team Rocket be deafted? Plus Misty learns something special about Psyduck. Misty leaves Psyduck at a breeding center, but the owners are not what they seem. Next it’s off to the Orange Islands; where Misty meets a Water Pokemon Trainer named Marina. They decide to have a Pokemon Battle, but Team Rocket has other plans. Can Misty defeat Marina and Team Rocket? Can Misty ever get Psyduck to listen to her? This was a great book about Misty. If you liked Splashdown in Cerulean City, then you should read this book. I also reccomend Team Rocket Blast Off and Prepare For Trouble. Have fun reading! Remember gotta read ‘em all ( I’m trying to!) Gotta go read bye!

Pokemon - The Adventures in the Orange Islands Vol 1 Pokemon - The Adventures in the Orange Islands Vol 1 These 12 episodes from the second broadcast season (nos. 228-239 in the overall continuity) help to bridge the events of the first season, which took aspiring trainer Ash Ketcham from his Pallet Town home to the Pok mon League championships, and the later “Johto Journeys” story line. Professor Oak sends Ash, Misty, and Brock to the Orange Islands to collect a mysterious Pok ball found by fellow researcher Professor Ivy. When they reach her lab, Brock decides to stay with the Professor and her three female assistants. Ash and Misty are soon joined by Tracey, a “Pok mon Watcher” in training who sketches. After the perpetually amorous Brock, he makes a rather bland companion. Although the archipelago boasts a string of gyms, Ash wins only one badge, the Coral Eye.

There’s little sense of a narrative thread to these stories as the characters wander aimlessly from island to island. They escape the snares of the inept Team Rocket (Jessy, James, and Meowth), who stalk them in a submarine disguised as a giant Magicarp. In the weird “Stage Fright,” a traveling troupe uses Pok mon as puppets, but Kay is having trouble with her Raichu: she can’t get it to follow when she recites “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner.” (They don’t consider the possibility that Raichu, like generations of English students, may be bored by the poem.) The Pok mon craze peaked long ago, but the series remains a harmless, if repetitious diversion for smaller children. (Suitable for all ages: minor cartoon violence) –Charles Solomon
Customer Review: It’s about time!
I bought this DVD back when it first came out but I’m only now getting around to reviewing it. Anyway, after wondering why they skipped the Orange Islands when putting out the DVDs they FINALLY came out with this..a TWELVE episode disc! Compared with the other Pokemon DVDs which have like 3 episodes (probably why I never bought any of those) at the same price so this is a truly awesome deal. The Orange Islands are my favorite episodes in the whole Pokemon series. I just wish there were more eps, like a full season. The atmosphere is just so lighthearted and fun..guess that tropical climate really helps. I don’t really like Tracey but it’s okay cuz he mostly feels like a background character who’s just along for the ride. Which means that most of the focus is on Ash and Misty with plenty of Pokeshippy moments! My only complaint…would it KILL them to add some special features?? Over all, it’s a great buy for any Pokemon fan and even if you’re not and say you’re looking to get this for your kid, it’s MUCH more enjoyable and easier to sit through than say the boring Johto Journies eps. Thanks for readin!
Customer Review: End Of Season 1, Prologue Of Season 2, Begining Of Season 2
This is a must have! Since it was made quite a while after season 2, the end of season one and some of season two are jam packed on this DVD! I’m going to use the Japanese name of the characters [since this IS a Japanese cartoon] but the English episode titles so you know what I’m talking about. Musashi=Jessica, Kojiro=James, Nyaasu=Meowth, Satoshi=Ash, Kasumi=Misty, Kenji=Tracey, Takeshi=Brock, Pikachu=Pikachu, Sakaki=Giovanni, Professor Ookido=Professor Oak, Yamoto=Cassidy, Kosaburu=Butch, Officer Junsar=Officer Jenny, Psyduck=Koduck, Soonansu=Wobbuffet, Nurse Joi=Nurse Joy
Pallet Party Panic [Season 1]: Satoshi is celebrating his victory as 15th place in the Indigo Pok mon League but since our wish-they-were-evil-but-their-boss-just-likes-to-lie-to-them villains Musashi, Kojiro, & Nyaasu ’spice-up’ the party by making Satoshi, Kasumi, and Takeshi’s food flaming hot. They then steal what-they-THINK-their-boss-wants-them-to-steal, Satoshi’s Pikachu, and ‘end the party in a bang’ with bombs of theirs. Unfortunately, this ‘back fires’!
A Scare In The Air [Season 1]: Satoshi wins a trip to an island in the Orange Archapellago so Musashi, Kojiro, & Nyaasu notify their boss. Sakaki tells them they’ll be promoted to The Duridgible Division [M, K, N (short for Musashi, Kojiro, & Nyaasu) call it "The Blimp Brigade". ...M & K flunked out of school and N, not being a human, never went to school so they tend to be pretty dumb at times] when he really wanted them to crash for insurance purposes-and that they’d be dead so he would never have to deal with them again.
Pok Ball Perril: The blimp lands on the destination where Satoshi goes to pick up a Pok Ball for Proff. Ookido. The professor with the Pok Ball caught Takeshi’s love interest [as do the majority of the girls he meets] and stays at her laboratory [though when he returns to the Kanto region he becomes miserable at the mention of her name.]
The Lost Lapras: Three Pok mon Trainers are abusing a baby Pok mon that was separated from its school so a Pok mon Watcher/Pok mon Researcher named Kenji comes along with a potion to revive it. The Pok mon is very vulnerable and shy but develops a slight comfort around humans via Satoshi protecting it from being stolen.
Fit To Be Tide: Satoshi’s first Gym Battle for an Orange League Badge. What? A Water Race??? Just what is the Gym Leader trying to pull?!
Pikachu Re-Volts: Kosaburu & Yamoto, a former friend of Musashi’s, are at it again! They use the method of hypnotism to lure Pok mon into being stolen. To the protagonist’s misfortune, Musashi & Kojiro are the only ones who know the culpirates-and that means helping out their nemesis: Officer Junsar!
The Crystal Onix: A little girl sends out a message in a bottle asking for information about a Crystal Pok mon that sparked the artistic abilities of a family member that her brother needs to keep his glass sculpting shop from going out of buisiness.
In The Pink: Musashi, Kojiro, & Nyaasu accidentally wind up on an island with Pink Pok mon that is forbidden due to poachers such as themselves. Having very out-of-the-ordianary ideas, they want to steal the Pink Pok mon to partake in performances at a theme park the infamous trio plans to purchase [even though by then they stoped getting paid from their major job, having to rely of their part-time jobs].
Shell Shock!: An ancient prophecy foretells that messing with an island, there will be a red moon and the island will sink. An expedition is led to observe Pok mon’s fossilized shells and Musashi, Kojiro, & Nyaasu come along. You do the math.
Stage Fight!: A Pok mon Showboat holds preformances by actors voicing Pok mon [who are acting and matching the lip-flap] back stage. One of the actor’s voices went thanks to Kojiro so a girl takes his place-but she is just begining to understand her Pok mon, which is very easily scared and cryies a lot.
Bye Bye Psyduck: Say what?! Kasumi’s Koduck evolved?! Can’t be! That thing is dumber than Musashi’s Soonansu! …Or could it be true? If it is then go Kasumi!
The Joy of Pok mon: Kenji falls in love with a Nurse Joi [as he does for every other hot chic] and becomes very worried about her safety during a storm, not thinking about his own safety. Blinded by love he almost costs the lives of dangerously sick Pok mon.

Pokemon - The Adventures in the Orange Islands (Vol. 2) Pokemon - The Adventures in the Orange Islands (Vol. 2) Ash and his friends depart for the Orange Islands! While they may leave some old friends behind and meet new friends, Ash and Pikachu continue their wild adventure on Ash s quest to become the best Pokemon Master!
Customer Review: Another entry into the Orange Islands saga!
Apparently, each volume of the Orange Island set is going to be released within a year of each other, so we won’t have a complete set until 2004. Oh well. Anyway, Ash’s jaunt into the Orange Islands continues, and starts off with a bang with:
#240 - Navel Maneuvers: Ash makes it to Navel Island, where he faces the gym leader Danny in a three part take all match! Tracey is rooting for Ash, but it appears Misty has developed a crush for Danny!
#241 - Snack Attack: After Ash wins his second badge, the crew stops by the Grapefruit Islands, where they find a giant Snorlax is on a feeding frenzy! Can they help Ruby the grapefruit farmer fend off Snorlax? Or can they find some help from everyone’s favorite musical pink puffball?
#242 - Shipful of Shivers: An ancient artifact is recovered from a wrecked ship, only to have it stolen by Team Rocket! But when they and Ash find themselves on a haunted ship, they’ve got more than they bargained for!
#243 - Meowth Rules!: Still considered to be one of the best episodes of the entire series, the focus is put on Team Rocket, as they crash land on an island where Meowth is assumed to be the “Great Meowth of Bounty”, a Pokemon God that will bring great wealth to the people!
#244 - Tracy Gets Bugged: The kids find a battered Scyther when they stop on an island, and discover it has been kicked out of it’s hive! Also, Jessie gets a haircut.
#245 - A Way Off Day Off: Everyone decides to take a day off, except for Team Rocket, who attempt to steal Ash’s Charizard!
#246 - The Mandarin Island Miss Match: Ash is getting a little arrogant until he meets Lorelei, one of the Elite Four.
#247 - Wherefore Art Thou, Pokemon: Two trainers hate each others guts but their Nidoran seem to love each other. Naturally, Misty has to butt in.
#248 - Git Along, Little Pokemon: The crew meets Pancha, a Magnemite rancher who uses his Magnemite to gather electricity for all the towns on the island.
#249 - The Mystery Menace: Bulbasaur is kidnapped by a mysterious Pokemon that lives in the sewers under the town. But when Ash tries to rescue Bulbasaur, he find that the Mayor of the city is doing everything he can to prevent anyone from discovering the mystery Pokemon.
#250 - Misty Meets Her Match: Ash makes his way to Trovita Island and it’s musical Gym Leader, Rudy, who is immediately smitten with Misty. As the battles progress, Misty has to make a choice… Ash or Rudy?
#251 - Bound For Trouble: Team Rocket finally captures Pikachu! At least, until a giant Pigeot carries away Pikachu and Meowth. Chained together, both have to work together to get back to their trainers.
As I’ve stated in earlier reviews, the Orange Islands series is considered by many to be the best of all the Pokemon series. This collection of episodes is great, since you get lots of comedy and lots of action packed episodes, with only a couple of lesser episodes. This is a must have for any Pokemon fan.

#311 - The Rivalry Revival - Ash and Gary finally face off in battle! Also, Brock returns!
As I’ve stated in earlier reviews, the Orange Islands series is considered by many to be the best of all the Pokemon series. This collection of episodes is great, explaining all the events leading up to the first Johto episode, plus plenty of great battles. A must have for any Pokemon fan.

Pokemon - Adventures on the Orange Islands Box Set Pokemon - Adventures on the Orange Islands Box Set The Orange Islands continuity (1999) serves as a bridge between the longer Pok mon storylines about the Indigo League (1997) and Johto League (1999) adventures. Professor Oak sends Ash, Misty and Brock to the Orange Islands to retrieve the mysterious GS Pok ball found by fellow researcher Professor Ivy. When they reach her lab, moonstruck Brock decides to stay with the Professor and her three female assistants. Ash and Misty are soon joined by Tracey, a “Pok mon Watcher” in training who sketches. After the perpetually amorous Brock, he makes a rather bland companion, although the caricatures of Groucho Marx and Clint Eastwood they encounter liven things up a bit. The characters roam aimlessly from island to island, escaping the snares of the inept Team Rocket, who stalk them in a submarine disguised as a giant Magicarp and a balloon that looks like Meowth. Ash wins the Coral Eye, Sea Ruby, Spike Shell, and Jade Star badges, which qualify him for the Orange League Tournament, where he finally learns to make his recalcitrant Charizard obey him. These stories lack a narrative arc: Ash’s battles at the various gyms don’t escalate, nor is there any sense of urgency to the mission to return the GS ball. The adventure concludes with Ash, Misty, and Tracey returning to Pallet Town, just in time to encounter the long-absent Gary. Professor Oak invites Tracey to become his assistant, so Brock, who’s been jilted by Ivy and her assistants, sets out with Ash and Misty for the Johto League. (Rated A, suitable for All Ages: minor cartoon violence. –Charles Solomon
Customer Review: A fun Pokemon summer adventure
With Pokemon now over 10 season’s old, it is hard to imagine that there was a day where there was only just 150 Pokemon.
