Pokemon - Johto League Champions - Learning to be the Best (Vol. 57) Pokemon - Johto League Champions - Learning to be the Best (Vol. 57) Our heroes continue on their journey to the Johto League Champions. This action-packed title features 3 episodes: The Stolen Stones: Team Rocket manages to catch Pikachu. Will Ash be able to get Pikachu back with the help of Arcanin? Ariados, Amigos: Our heroes join the trainer of Fuschia City to learn the special Pokemon Jujitsu. The Apple Corp: Pikachu joins hands with Pichu to save the day from Team Rocket!
Customer Review: Another three Johto League fillers
I do not own this video but I have seen all the episodes and, to be honest, they’re not that great.

1. We start off with The Stolen Stones which isn’t a bad filler, probably the best on the video. Ash and co. meet up with a brother and sister who run an Archanine delivery service. Team Rocket steal some evolution stones from them and it’s up to Ash and friends to get them back. This one is quite memorable for Team Rocket’s antics. They get quite a bit of screentime.

2. Next up is Ariados Amigos, the worst on the video in my opinion. Our heroes meet up with Aya from Fushia City gym again and she teaches them about Pok mon jujitsu. Yawn.

3. Finally, a cutesy episode - Apple Corp - ends the video. Ash and friends visit an orchard were Pichu are stealing apples. If you are a Pikachu or Pichu fan you will probably enjoy it. I don’t mind it too much.

Overall, not a great offering. I’d wait for a video with more gym episodes. Filler episodes (which these three are) never affect the storyline so you aren’t missing anything at all.

Customer Review: The Definition of “Cute Best Bud”
This game lives up to its reputation for cuteness. I purchased it for both my son and me, both of us being big Pikachu fans (well, my son is into other Pokemon at least as much . . .). It is a simple game, but even though I’m older I still love “being with Pikachu,” which seems the focus of it all anyway. As far as I know, this is the best way to have fun with Pikachu as a pretend friend. (I don’t get why Nintendo doesn’t come out with a new version of “Pokemon Yellow”?) Highly recommended for Pikachu fans.

Customer Review: Seven More
Another entry into the Johto League Champions series of DVDs. This one features the following:

422 - The Apple Corps: Ash and company come across a woman trying to deal with a pack of Pichu stealing her apples!

423 - Houndoom’s Special Delivery: Togepi is separated from Misty during a freak Teleport accident, but luckly a passing Houndoom takes care of the young Pokemon.

424 - The Tower Inferno!: Ash finally arrives at Ecrutek City, but finds it’s Gym on fire!

425 - From Ghost to Ghost: Ash battles Morty for his fourth badge, but Morty’s ghost Pokemon are almost unbeatable!

426 - Brewing Up Trouble: The kids attend an ancient tea ceremony, where Brock falls in love with four sisters and Team Rocket attempts to steal an Eevee.

427 - All That Glitters: A gang of Murkrow steals Ash’s badges!

428 - The Light Fantastic: A mysterious light emerges over the desert.

These are some pretty interesting episodes and out of them, only one or two feel like fillers. The Apple Corps is a cute episodes, and Brock falling for four different sisters in the same episode in Brewing Up Trouble is hilarious. The two Gym episodes will more than satistfy hardcore battle fans.

My son loves this book. He’s really into drawing and loves the how-to-draw books, and this was no exception. Within minutes he was whipping up poke’mon from the pages of the book onto paper and making his own comic book of them. Great for any pokemon fan who loves to draw!
