Pokemon Adventures, Volume 2: Wanted Pikachu (Pok mon Adventures) The most popular Pokmon character - Pikachu - was the subject of the first Pokmon comic miniseries. In this story, the human trainer journeys to Pewter City, where a Pokmon is wanted for vandalism. Can our hero catch (as well as make friends with) the electrical Pikachu? Customer Review: Based more on the game than the anime… In this issue of Pokemon Adventures, Red arrives in Pewter City, only to find a Pikachu who’s stirring up quite a bit of trouble. Luckily, by using his Bulbasaur, Red captures the Pikachu. Soonafter he runs into Gary, who challenges him to a contest to see who can defeat Brock, the Pewter City Gym Leader, first. And we also get to see the first appearance of everyone’s favorite(or hated, your choice) feisty red-head, Misty! Red comes to the rescue as Misty is being attacked by an out-of-control Gyarados, and soon they band together on their journey. The Pokemon Adventures manga is based heavily on the Pokemon RPG videogame, so there’s alot of similarities here. You should buy this if you’re a fan of the game, or Pokemon in general. Customer Review: Reader from America This book is great!red walks into pewter city and sees a wanted sign of Pikachu, who is messing up there town. So then Red decides to help and trys capturing the wanted Pikachu……. Then Gary comes and Challenges Ash the Challenge is Who will get the Boulder badge from Brock……. Then trys to help misty with her Gyardos… That’s all i’m going to write.

Magical Pokemon, Volume 2: Cooking With Jigglypuff (Magical Pok mon Journey) Joined by her friends, Maron sets out to research and maybe collect as many Pokemon as she can. The first they encounter is Jigglypuff, and they drop by for a snack. A Jigglypuff can sing - but can it cook? Customer Review: Excellent Series The entire Magical Pok mon Journey series is excellent, and this is no exception! Although it has no complex plot or many climaxes, the flat-out comedy of the series is enough for almost anyone. Some people who hated Pok mon like this series. Whether Pok mon are in the series or not is irrelevant; what’s important is it’s funny. I believe this is good for all ages, not just 4-8. I think this book is for 7-101 years old. Customer Review: Pika-pi, chuuu! (Translation: Wadda great book! ) Cooking With Jigglypuff countinues the story of Pikachu & his trainer Hazel on her (Hazel’s) quest to get her stubborn crush, Almond to fall in love with her. Along the way they meet jigglypuff, a spoiled little pink puffball that’s not as bad as she seems, & Tangela, A misterious ball of blue vines with a secret. Also, Almond shows that he might care for Hazel after all. If you are a fan of Pokemon, Shojo manga (japanese girls’ comics,) or anything totaly kawaii (cute) you should definately check out this simple, but extreamly fun series! (& don’t pay any attention to the “age group, 4-8″ thing; I’m 14 & loven’ it.)

Pokemon Adventures Volume 4: The Snorlax Stop Pokemon ahoy! In the fourth volume of the Pokemon Adventures series, Red climbs aboard the seagoing St. Anne. But the ship holds unexpected dangers, including the hardheaded Lt. Surge and his team of electric Pokemon. Red’s adventures climax in a wild bicycle race, and in order to win he has to get past the enormous Snorlax! Customer Review: Red, AKA Ash, takes on Pokemon Kidnappers This was the first Manga I’d ever bought for my 8 year old child. And he loves the cartoon format. Snorlax is a gas! The book is divided into chapter including a kidnapping from a Pokemon fan club and a race.

Pokemon Graphic Novel, Volume 2: Pikachu Shocks Back (Viz Graphic Novel) The entire four-issue miniseries Pikachu Shocks Back, collected in this graphic novel, stars favorite characters from the Pokemon TV series - Ash, Misty, Brock, and clumsy Team Rocket. Ash wins a race against dozens of other trainers, and then helps Mikey, another Pokemon trainer, prove his pet’s worth. Pikachu wanders off to find the legendary Pokemon Paradise, and Ash must decide whether to let Pikachu return to its own kind. Customer Review: A well-drawn and original Pokemon manga This next installment in Toshihiro Ono’s shonen(boys) Pokemon manga series is called ‘Pikachu Shocks Back’. It’s aimed more at older kids and teenagers, and the artwork is drawn very well. There are four stories here: (1)The Human Race and the Pokemon Race: Ash decides to travel along with Brock, and he meets up with Misty(again) and her three beautiful sisters at the Fuschia Festival. After causing a Tauros to get angry, Misty and Ash end up being saved by a girl named Lara, who’s arm is broken thanks to an accident she had while riding her Ponyta. Ash decides to help her out by racing in the Free-For-All with her Ponyta. Unfortunately for Ash, a racer that likes to cheat has other plans for the boy with the red cap. (2)To Evolve or not to Evolve That is the Question: Misty joins up with Ash and Brock as they head to Stone Town, the place where Evolution Stones cmoe from. Misty meets up with a timid boy named Mikey, and finds out he’s apart of some underground society that likes to evolve their Pokemon. The problem is, Mikey doesn’t want to evolve his Eevee. And that doesn’t exactly make his three brothers happy with him. Misty also begins to question whether she has a ‘weakness for younger men’. (3)Pikachu’s Excellent Adventure: Pikachu gets seperated from Ash, and tries to find his way back to his trainer. The electric mouse joins up with Squirtle and some other Pokemon on a journey to find a Poke-Paradise that’s supposedly guarded by some godess. On their travels, they meet up with a trio of shady fellows that call themselves ‘Team Rocket’. (4)You Gotta Have Friends: Ash begins to wonder if Pikachu is drifting away from him as he stumbles upon a Pikachu colony.
The artwork is way more realistic than the art in the other Pokemon mangas, and I thought it was kinda cool. Even though this series was aimed at teenagers, Viz decided to edit alot of the scenes to make it appropriate for the kiddies, making the women and the girls less ‘endowed’, and they now wear FAR more clothes than they originally did. This was good and bad at the same time, because they sorta went overboard with the editing; Misty and some of the other girls are like walls now, if you know what I mean! But still, this is a great book if you’re a Pokemon fan, or a shonen manga fan. It’s got lots of action, funny and likable characters, and some great artwork. Customer Review: this one by far would be my favourite! the comic at the very beginning was the cutest and the first story, the human race and the pokemon race. looked amazing althou ponyta looked more stronger and less graceful. the second story, to evolve or not to evolve (i’m sure you all know what this is about) has the best pictures and is soooo cute. Pikachus adventure, is a new story that is wonderful and a nice touch. the the last one you gotta have friends… was touching and confirmed pikachu is a guy!!

Pokemon Graphic Novel vol. 3: Electric Pikachu Boogaloo (Pokemon) (Pok mon Comic Series, 3) Pikkkaaaa! As further testament to the global domination of Pok mon, Electric Pikachu Boogaloo collects the contents of four Pok -comic books originally released in late ‘99, all based on episodes from the enormously successful TV series. “Boogaloo” follows 10-year-old Ash Ketchum and his first, best, and cutest Pok mon partner, Pikachu, through all sorts of adventures, from trying to track down a mysterious seed Pok mon guardian spirit atop the Venusaur Tree to investigating whether Clefairy really come from outer space. The action reaches its peak when Ash qualifies for the Pok mon League in “Days of Gloom and Glory” and then takes on his friend and rival Richie in the high-stakes Indigo Finals. The dastardly misfits of Team Rocket, of course, keep things interesting along the way. (The book comes with four perforated, pull-out pin-ups.) –Paul Hughes Customer Review: Best Pokemon merchandise out here!!! Although this US version is quite censored, I can recommend it to any Pokemon fan, but it is absolute must have for any Rocketshipper! It is quite Ash-bashing despite the title. And there are also the most beautiful pictures of Jessie and James! The art style is marvelous and Mr.Ono’s humour is great, too!!! I like The Electric Pikachu Boogaloo the best from all 4 manga books by Toshihiro Ono. This series is one of my most favourite mangas (beside Cardcaptor Sakura and Gunsmith Cats). Read it and you will see why! If you are manga fan and want quality, try this Pokemon manga series. It it not childish, I’m 20 and I enjoyed it very much! Customer Review: this cover’s the best!! i’m very happy ^_^ i managed to get the book with the three characters on front, if your worried by the title and hot it says, pokemon comic series three? just ignore it. the book’s the same as the other 4. it was gorgess seeing meousy and all the stuff underwater, a must have…
